We may not all be called to adopt, but every Christian is called to take care of the orphan and the widow. Open Our Eyes is a free event that will connect you with the heart of God for the fatherless through music, video, displays and inspiring stories. You also can talk with over 35 different ministries and organizations dedicated to orphan care, foster care and adoption. Ask questions, get inspired and discover how you CAN make a difference!

Tom Ewing helps churches all over Colorado and the world develop their passion for God through music and worship arts. Tom Davis is the president and CEO of Children's HopeChest, a global orphan advocacy organization serving orphans and widows around the world. Tom travels worldwide encouraging individuals, families, and churches to fulfill the Biblical mandate to love and care for the orphan. Tom is the author of five books; Fields of the Fatherless, Red Letters, Confessions of a Good Christian Guy, Scared, and his newest novel Priceless. He is also the author of the blog "Red Letters: Living the Words of Jesus." Tom currently is a DMin candidate and adjunct professor at George Fox University in Newberg, OR. Tom and his wife, Emily, have seven children, including two adopted daughters from Russia. The Davis family lives in Colorado.
Child Care / Special Activity
Child care for infant through preschool will be provided and there will be a special activity for children in kindergarten through 6th grade. LOL Ministries is about to open an orphanage in Southern Belize and the children attending Open Our Eyes will be video taping messages to the children there, writing messages of encouragement and painting on a large poster wall, and helping to fill the container with critical items needed by the children in Belize. This will be an amazing opportunity for your children to connect with God's heart for orphans in a tangible and fun way.
